Breaking Ground

James Doran Co., Charleston, S.C., has broken ground on the ISIS Condominiums project in Winter Springs, Fla., the residential component of a 63-acre mixed-use town-center community. The groundbreaking for the intial 41 luxury condos -- another 312 units are in the pre-sell stages -- served as the launchpad for a town-center development that will include 1,000 residential units, 650,000 sq. ft. of retail and 400,000 sq. ft. of office space in an "urban village" setting. The neo-classic architecture and streetscape will include roundabouts, a central fountain and parks for gathering, tree-lined streets and views of area wetlands.
