James Doran Co. Announces Improvements and Roster of New Tenants at Winter Springs Town Center

CHARLESTON, S.C. – The Charleston, S.C.-based James Doran Company has signed seven new tenants at Winter Springs Town Center, the mixed-use development located at the corner of S.R. 434 and Tuskawilla Road in the City of Winter Springs, where a number of upgrades totaling several hundred thousand dollars are being made.

Significant lighting upgrades to Buildings One and Two include building sconces, festival-like string lighting, an array of building up lighting, restaurant courtyard decorative fencing and planters, cornice lighting and improved landscape lighting. A number of other landscaping upgrades have occurred, which include parking area beautification, tree relocation and a new seasonal plantings and color program to improve the overall aesthetics of the town center.

Further, the entire parking lot west of Cliff Rose Drive has been seal-coated and re-striped and 20 oak trees have been relocated to make the parking areas more lush and dense with foliage. A palm boulevard has been created along Cliff Rose Drive and Tree Swallow Drive and the main roundabout fountain area on Cliff Rose Drive has been completely redesigned. Working with city and transportation agencies, a new traffic light at S.R. 434 and Doran Drive has been installed and will further enhance access in and out of the town center.

The improvements total approximately $300,000 and are being funded solely by the developer.

“These improvements will benefit all tenants, visitors and future residents and we are especially excited about making this many enhancements at the same time we’re about to welcome such a large number of new tenants to the town center. This will help generate more customers who cross over with these other fine retailers and keep building on the dynamic aspects of this growing community,” said George Tullos, vice president of marketing and sales.

New tenants, totaling approximately 14,000 square feet of space, include Hollywood Bistro, Beef O Brady’s Family Sports Pub, Fuji Mountain Sushi, Carr’s Barber Shop, Merle Norman Cosmetics, Wireless Zone, an authorized Verizon dealer and Sadkane School for Dance and Aikido.

At build-out, the Winter Springs Town Center is anticipated to have 1000 residential units, 600,000 square feet of retail space and 400,000 square feet of office space on 63 acres.
