Archer School Apartments Honored with National Historic Preservation Award
We’re proud to share that Archer School Apartments in Charleston, South Carolina, has received the 2025 Recognition of Housing Tax Credit Excellence – Historic Preservation Award from the Affordable Housing Tax Credit Coalition.
Through careful restoration and adaptive reuse, this historic building has been reimagined into 89 beautiful, affordable homes for seniors—preserving its legacy while serving today’s community needs.
Kelly Sharkey accepted the award at the national ceremony in Washington, D.C., where the project was recognized for its outstanding achievement in merging historic preservation with affordable housing innovation.
